Rainbow Voices is a non-auditioned community choir for LGBTQ+ people and their allies. We provide a unique community space for LGBTQ+ individuals who love music to gather, sing, and perform together. We are the only LGBTQ+ choir in the Midlands.

The financial stability of the grant has been wonderful for us as a choir and allowed us to continue striving for musical excellence.

It provided an immense weight off our minds and ensured the future of our choir. As we embark on three decades of rainbow voices, the knowledge that our future is financially safe and secure is invaluable.

With your support we have grown as a choir both in number and in prominence. We currently have over 50 registered members and we were able to open the main stage at Birmingham Pride and take part in Blue Peter’s first ever ‘Pride special’.

We have also been able to divert spending to small community performances and purchasing adaptive and performance equipment when needed.

We consider the grant to have been an absolute success in helping us achieve our goals of sustainability and wellbeing. Going forward we are now looking at funding specific projects rather than meeting general costs.
